چکیده

In this paper, we study the long-time behavior of a nonautonomous SEIRS epidemic model. We obtain new su cient conditions for the permanence (uniform persistence) and extinction of infectious population of the model. By numerical examples we show that there are cases such that our results improve the previous results obtained in [T. Zhang and Z. Teng, On a nonautonomous SEIRS model in epidemiology, Bull. Math. Bio., (2007) 69, 2537-2559]. We discuss a relation between our results and open questions proposed in the paper.

On a nonautonomous SEIRS model in epidemiology.

In this paper, we derive some threshold conditions for permanence and extinction of diseases that can be described by a nonautonomous SEIRS epidemic model. Under the quite weak assumptions, we establish some sufficient conditions to prove the permanence and extinction of disease. Some new threshold values are determined.

A Nonautonomous Discrete Epidemic Model with Isolation

For a nonautonomous discrete SIQR model, we obtain conditions for permanence and extinction of the disease and we establish the global asymptotical stability when our conditions determine extinction. We also discuss the particular autonomous and periodic situations, where our conditions are sharp thresholds between permanence and extinction of the disease. Permanence and extinction for a nonautonomous SVIR epidemic model with distributed time delay∗

In this paper we have considered a nonautonomous SV IR epidemic model with varying total population size and distributed time delay to become infectious. Instead of assuming that vaccinees gain immunity immediately, we have assumed that they are different from susceptible and recovered persons and it takes some time for them to gain immunity and then enter into the recovered class. Here, we hav...

Two profitless delays for an SEIRS epidemic disease model with vertical transmission and pulse vaccination

Since the investigation of impulsive delay differential equations is beginning, the literature on delay epidemic models with pulse vaccination is not extensive. In this paper, we propose a new SEIRS epidemic disease model with two profitless delays and vertical transmission, and analyze the dynamics behaviors of the model under pulse vaccination. Using the discrete dynamical system determined b...

Partial Extinction, Permanence, and Global Attractivity in Nonautonomous n-Species Gilpin-Ayala Competitive Systems with Impulses

In 1 , the general nonautonomous n-species Lotka-Volterra competitive systems with impulsive effects are investigated. By using the methods of inequalities estimate and constructing the suitable Liapunov functions, the sufficient conditions on the permanence of whole species and global attractivity of systems are established. In 2 , the authors studied the following general nonautonomous n-spec...
